Lekan Otufodunrin Bags UNILAG MCAA Print Journalist of The Year Award

Media Career Development Network Boss, Lekan Otufodunrin, recalls journey 36 after graduating from UNILAG Mass Communication Department

 

Nigerian Journalist and media trainer, Lekan Otufodunrin, has been recognised as the Print Journalist of the Year in an Award of Excellence organised by the Distinguished UNILAG Mass Communication Alumni Association (UMCAA).

Platforms Africa reports that an excited Otufodunrin who announced this on his verified Facebook Page, also recalled his career journey 36 after graduating from the Department of Mass Communication, UNILAG.

The post read; “36 years after graduating from the department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, I bagged the Award of Excellence as the Distinguished UNILAG Mass Communication Alumni Association ( UMCAA) Print Journalist of the Year.

“I am humbled by this award which reminds me of my days in the department where I learnt the skills that prepared me for my media career.

“I was News Editor of UNILAG Sun, Editor, The Communicator, editorial member member of Eye Magazine, Assistant Secretary and President of the department students association.”

Continuing, the Executive Director at Media Career Development Network said; “My journey has taken me though National Concord, The Contractor, The Punch, National Interest, Financial Standard, New Age, The Comet, and The Nation where I still write my weekly column. To God be all the glory.”
